Looking for a light for my 20 Long.
Need a decent low priced light for my 30" tank. T5 or LED. Would really love to find a Kessil somebody isn't using as it would be more versatile with what I want to do. Any equipment hoarders got anything? PM me here.

Re: Dosing your tank? How much?
Have you considered a calcium reactor? I barely have any SPS in the 120 but plan on adding more once my 225 is running. After doing a lot of research I picked up a GEO 612 from a reefer getting out of the hobby. Supposed to eventually be cheaper than dosing and much easier. Currently I'm just adding...

Re: Evaporation
I have more evap during the winter than in the summer it seems. I'm figuring it's the fireplaces, tank heaters, or just the warmer dryer air being blown from the vents.

Re: The Captains 225 DSA build
It's what DSA calls their single overflow. My 120 has double overflows on the back glass which makes it hard to scape IMO and creates dead spots for flow. Hard to get around all the corners they create. The DSA has 3 drains and 2 returns all in one overflow box. It's located in the center of the bac...

The Captains 225 DSA build
Figured I'd better start a build thread here since this is where the madness started for me. Gerwin sold me my first tank (14gal biocube) and now he's ordered my 225. I'll be using this thread to truly document my process. I'm going with a DSA 225 equipped with the Pro center overflow and black sili...

Re: Problem Solved
I was wondering what you did different to start getting things going right. Saw you mention it was doing better on BRk but didn't know what was different. Glad you got the temp figured out.

Re: Just a Thank you to YOU!
I don't get down there as much as I'd like but I love the store. I remember calling from an LFS in Hattiesburg that didn't have time for me while I was standing in his store. 5 mins. on the phone with Gerwin and I was southbound on 49 to pick up my first reef tank. Thanks for being honest and not ju...

LF BTA
Looking for a small BTA to host a small Tomato clown I picked up for my sons cube yesterday. Doesn't really matter the color, the cheaper the better. If anyone is attending the Parade of Tanks hosted by BRK next weekend, my home is the first stop. I encourage everyone to attend and have a good time....

Re: What have you done for your tank this week?
Ok thanks. Was just wondering. I want to run the apex because of the time I spend away from home working and also camping. Seems like a great idea to be able to monitor the tank remotely plus have all the built in fail safes. Wondering if getting the wxm module to control the mp40s is worth it though?

Re: What have you done for your tank this week?
Shadow1, do you use an Apex on your tank? If you do, are you running your radions and pumps through it or how? I'm confused as to if I should just let the Ecotech stuff work by itself or if I should run it through the apex. I doubt I'll be able to do it with my Disney trip coming up, but as soon as ...

I saw it day one but can't do anything since I'm offshore. Post date me a box and I'll pick it up with my skimmer. :)
