I put a powerhead in a 20 gallon tank, and pour salt for about 4-5 seconds. And in a half hour or so I check it
And then add more salt or water as necessary
Then the next day I can check one last time before doing a change

Octopus Skimmer Pump
My Octopus Skimmer is down. I took it apart and cleaned with vinegar, there was little buildup, put it back together. Still nothing. Doesn't even sound like it's trying to run.
Can I buy just the pump? Obviously the rest of the skimmer's fine. It's an OTP 2000 according to the label.
