The Zoa's will close up at times. Mine close up when ever a hermits climbs over it or when i feed them. Also sometimes they close at night and after lights been on for a bit they open up.

I would watch feeding the liquid food right now and go with mysis shrimp or someing you can see it eat. Also keep doing the water changes at least every 7 days till the nitrate get lower. Don't add anything else till the nitrates get down and stay down. I do a water change in my nano every 7-10 days...

Update on the tank. All is doing great. Looks like i have snail eggs all over the side and back of the tank. Don't think i'll be able to get a good photo because there so small. Looked at them with a 4x magnifying glass. White spots with a yellow inside. Would be cool if they hatch. Looking at eithe...

I got a video of the Gobie and Pistol shrimp. Looks like they moved into a new cave near the middle of the tank so i was able to get some video of them. Its not the best but all i can get for now.
