Re: I got these baby shrimps man!!
Mine is a smaller tank with a air stone and a filter element wrapped and tied around the actual water intake of the 10gal filter. So its a slower intake of water and I just throw the filter element away when finished and the babies dont get suked in the filter system and turned into susi. I will try...

Re: I got these baby shrimps man!!
Just thought I would add that since this was posted I saved a few of my captured glass or ghost shrimp in a 10 gal salty. Its been a few weeks and I have around 20 really small babies also; they are visible to the naked eye now yet do not take good pictures yet.

Due to my not wanting to get in trouble with the law with my Illegal fish, he is no longer in my tank.

OMG Needle fish
I know in the wild these guys are very much a aggressive ambush predator, although their actions in the tank are amazing. When they grab food is really interesting. First in the tank (55) they are not the largest fish although they are above average in size. When I feed them either small live shrimp...

Re: Hardhead Catfish
Chater bosts have been doing this for a long time. Catch fish like those really big Black Drums or Jacks, fish that most people don't eat. Hang the fish up when the boats come back in so others can see that they catch fish and maybe they might get anothr trip out of the deal, kinda a waste, at leas...

Re: As promised, aka Speckled Trout in 55gal
I agree up to the point of catching him........ I have been very selective about releasing my fish back to the wild; I pick areas where I hope people do not fish at which is hard to locate. My hard head catfish is going to be released soon and I have a few spots picked out yet I am very worried sinc...

Re: Another what am I?
OK I thought with the body shape he was a snapper; and did a search for snapper fry. It appears this guy is a tiny mangrove snapper.

Another what am I?
OK this little fish has been a tank mate for two weeks and hides in the plants. He has a huge stripe that runs above his eye from his nose to the dorsel fin. The bottom fins have a orange tint to them and finally he has green spots. This is the only decent picture since he is very fast and scares ea...

Re: Hardhead Catfish
Yeah the sleep helps, not sleeping as much lately since I am spending more time fishing.... I use a barbless setup so my fish get let go 99% of the time. I saw a individual at the harbor dump 4 large Jacks in the water, dead and it upset me allot. WTF if your not going to eat the fish let the dang t...
