Re: Tapatalk app. input and discussion here

The error on your screen cap and the broken [img] links are not related. The error is because an attempt is being made to upload the image file to the fishystuff.net server, which is what we need to avoid. The reason for the broken Tapatalk hosted image link, I think, is that posting and linking to ...

Re: Tapatalk app. input and discussion here

The problem is you can see it fine from Tapatalk, but computer viewers just see the link between [img] tags, not the photo.

Re: What Is It?

You are correct. This is a "Silent Giant" air pump, about as big as a 1 lb. coffee can, weighs about 2 lb, mainly because it's filled with gravel. The actual pump mechanism inside, a large vibrator type air pump, is sealed in a metal can about the size of a small can of corn. The gravel se...

Re: Tapatalk app. input and discussion here

Well, it appears the implementation of Tapatalk is successful (read: I'm actually using it successfully, so it must be). For those of you posting photos from it, the Tapatalk hosting option is a very good idea (as long as TT doesn't delete them), but with one request: Before hitting Submit, please e...

Re: Tapatalk app. input and discussion here

No, but if you had a saltwater aquarium in 1977, you had probably at least four of them. And you could buy them at the aquarium department at Sears. Yes, that's right, saltwater at Sears.

Re: Tapatalk app. input here

Doug I'm getting an error while trying to upload pics saying "it's not possible to determine dimensions of picture". The system will return an error if an image being uploaded or displayed inline exceeds 1024x768. This is to prevent unnecessarily large filesizes being uploaded to the serv...

Re: Tapatalk app. input here

Those of you currently using Tapatalk for other forums, please reply in this thread what platform(s) those forums are using-- not what websites, but the forum software packages. Usually listed at the bottom of main forum pages. Thanks. Oh, and after quite a number of technical issues, Tapatalk is ap...

As one who only had saltwater tanks in the Long Ago Time, I am moved to wonder if the undissolved salt mix and freshwater would not have a detrimental effect on whatever is live in the live sand. Am I missing something?

Re: Resizing Pics

The forum is set to restrict images displayed in posts to 800x600 (or 600x800) or smaller (640x480, 500x375, etc.) to keep viewers from having to scroll side to side to view overly large photos. Although I don't use Photobucket, I would assume there's an option to pick a medium size that's most like...

Re: Innovative Marine AccuDrip Review

Is "AUQA" how they spell "AQUA" in CHINA? We used to use an Oscar Enterprises "U" and airline tubing with a knot tied in it as an acclimation dripper. Sucking on plastic hose and risking a mouthful of saltwater, funky brine shrimp tank water, etc. was a rite of passage.

Re: Clowns hosting a last

My recollection, my first saltwater tank being set up roughly 34 years ago, was that percula/ocellaris preferred carpet and
ritteri anemone.
