Re: Light Bar

Whenever someone has a link to a website that sells whatever the subject of their post is in their sig, they are a spammer. First post + commercial link in sig = spammer.

Re: Are fish attracted to multiple color led lights ?

Not email spam, just forum spam, the practice of registering just to put links in posts, sigs, and profiles.

Re: Are fish attracted to multiple color led lights ?

Good answer. Unfortunately, the OP was a spammer, who only registered to post the links that were in the signature. If everything about a new user's first post seems legit, the links in the sig let you know it's not.

Re: Ring Ring Ring

Both true:

Ring, ring...

"Pet Store."

"Do you sell fish?"

"Yes , we do."

"Do you have any that I would like?"

Ring, ring...

"Pet Store."

"Do you sell tropical fish?"

"Yes, we do."

"How much are they?"

Re: Just Fish 4-6-12

I use Picasa. You have to download the program and have web albums, you have to make the albums public, share by rss, and when the link comes up you have to copy the section in the link starting with the number after user/ and stop with the last number before the ?. Then on the forum you click the ...

Re: 300 DD

Since you already have the stand and not the tank, you have an excellent opportunity to make sure you avoid the disaster that happened with a 300 tank I helped install about 30 years ago. It was a 300 gallon all glass O'Dell, 96Lx24Wx30H. The stand was custom built, 36" tall. When put in place,...

Re: Charleston Prices

Are they the only shop in town? Sounds like a serious lack of competition to me. Where I live, 35 years ago (yes, I am that old) there was a shop, the only game in town at the time, that sold carpet anemones for $80. After two more saltwater shops opened, carpets amazingly came down to a more reason...

Re: Cycling question

"Seeding" a new tank with biologically established media from another (healthy) tank is a good way to shorten the cycle time. But without a food source, the bacteria in that media will diminish and die off. The bacteria responsible for the nitrogen cycle need an energy source in the form o...

Re: big leak

Even with all side seams intact, an all glass tank can still "leak" if the top frame is not properly sealed all the way around. What happens, if the tank is filled too high, when surface water is pushed by a powerhead or filter outlet even higher, it can cause capillary action to channel w...

Um, the Picasa slideshow in the first post works fine here, and I didn't do anything to it. Click on the Flash icon in the middle if it does not display automatically. Those fabulous iPhones still don't run flash, do they?

Re: Another reason to go to your Local Fish Store?

Actually, this reminded me of something from way back in the early SW hobby days. There was a store back in the 70s, in a not-so-big town in LA that was run by a husband and wife who fancied themselves a swinging couple. They had, according to what I was told, a "special" saltwater room in...

Re: "Crusty" #### ******* stuff happening at shop...

You do realize your use of the two terms in the title of this thread will likely bring a torrent of spam upon this forum if they remain long enough for the searchbots to pick up on them..

Re: ok opinions and help on this tshirt idea

Do you want a shirt that anyone would be willing to buy and wear, or only people who think drug references are cool? Just sayin'... (Recalling the guy who gave you grief over a Maltese cross that time.)
