My SetUp: 180gal saltwater reef, 6-80watt T5 lights, 2 powerheads in tank, 2 return pumps in a 40gal sump, uv sterilizer, gfo and carbon reactor.

My SetUp: AGA 150g 48x30x25, Reef Octopus Skimmer, Bio Pellet, Phosphate, Carbon reactor. Mostly a SPS coral tank with a few zoas a Green Polyp Toadstool, a Chalice or two and a couple of Scollys thrown in there. Top Off System and dosing pump system for Calcium and Alk.

That is a really nice tank you have their Archie. Do you have a heater in that tank, just wondering if the cold bothers those fish. Can you tell us a bit about the set up, I would be interested in knowing how and what it takes to run a system like that.

actually it is a pond. cold water does not bother koi, have to worry more about heat than cold.

pond is about 10,000 gallons shallow. half the pond is about 18-24" deep, remaining is 48" deep

filter system is custom made and consist of 25 gallon container filled w/bio balls, a 100 gallon container filled nylon brushes,
and 125 gallon container filled with an array of filter matts

pumps are external pond pumps with filter baskets attached
have a 7500 gph, 6500 gph and a 3500 gph pump, in the market to add one more

also have two 40 watt sterilizers

there are well a hundred fish ranging from 4" up to 24" plus koi, few comets, and a few fantails

during summer months usually go thru a 25bl bag of koi food

that kinda of sums it up in a nutshell
