I'm a Virgin here..so be gentle! =)

Post by Nightbird » Sun Nov 18, 2012 4:44 am

Hi All!

I just joined and am looking forward to making new friends. I currently have a 55 gallon tank that used to house Discus. Well, my last discus passed on to the beyond a few months ago, and now I am looking for ideas on what to do with my tank, which now only houses 3 very bored Giant Danios. I want to keep the tank freshwater, but don't want to deal with Discus anymore, so I'm looking for really colorful freshwater fish that have interesting personalities, such as Cichlids. The main color in a fish I want is Red, but am open to other colors as long as they are on the bright side. So far, Blood Parrot fish seem to fit the bill, but I am open to all suggestions.

Thanks for reading and looking forward to meeting you guys! :D

When I had a freshwater tank I primarily had African cichlids they come in many different colors and are full of personality!

I had some blood parrots that got huge, well over 10". Awesome fish that live for a long time.

Thanks for the posts guys. I ended up purchasing some Ryunkin Goldfish and they are doing great. There about the size of teacups now..and are really fun to have. :D
