Great Food for puffers

Post by deltaboy38655 » Sat Dec 01, 2012 6:16 pm

What's up FishyStuff people!
I recently discovered by accident an excellent food for toothed fish like puffers, harlequin tusks etc. This is dried shrimp from Rouses's market in Ocean Springs. This is wild caught product of USA shrimp that needs no refrigeration. I don't know how they make it but it is extremly hard and perfect for my Green Spotted Puffer. He has to really chew on it to eat it and will probably keep his teeth worn down & in great shape.

a better food is fresh oysters from the gulf; the small clams near the beach. This will allow the puffer to not only eat but scraping his teeth in the shell will also prevent those teeth from getting too big. They also enjoy fresh alge covered rocks from the gulf.
