New 125g salt setup

Post by chadhshaw » Thu Jul 04, 2013 3:13 pm

I am changing my 125 cichlid tank to a fowlr setup. I am doing a 55g sump underneath the stand. With that said, I am buying my pump and overflow first. Would a mag 9.5 and a eshopps pf-1000 work well for the tank? Thanks

I ran a mag 1800 on my 125 reef with the dual over flows.

yeah I would probably do at least a 1200 assuming your overflow can handle about 900-1000gph
but in pinch I would be ok with a 9.5 and some wavemakers in the tank
