Well since I've been on vacation this week I've had the house to my self during the day, so it really didn't take as long as it would seem. I took breaks and had a long phone call, but over all it took me about 3.5 hours, maybe 4.

Before the LED's and rock rework. This is under the 500w of MH HQI and the two T5's:

After the LED's and rock work. This is under the whites and blues:

And under the blue LED's:

Very nice, what is the green coral on the right side of the tank behind the power head in the first pic, and where did it go in the second pic?

LOL! Pete. It is a neon green sinularia (softie). I kept a small frag and took the mother colony to Gerwin along with the huge Pocillopora. When I redid my rock work, I didn't have a good spot for it so I took a frag, and brought the softball size momma to Gerwin as well.

Nice job on the rescape, I'm looking at new lights too, PAC SUN pandora s, led t5 combo. I like the idea just not the price. May just add some t5's under the canopy with the Radions.

No one has posted since September.
I have had a real bad time with the 300 lost 50% of my SPS to an alk spike with the change to a CARX. Hopefully beginning to settle down finally. Levels have been steady for the last 4 weeks or so did 200 gallons of water changes over those same 4 weeks. Got 80 more mixed to change this coming weekend. Tested levels this morning before work

Alk 7.8
No3 0
Po4 0
CA 480
Mg1580

What have you been up to?

Drained, cleaned and refilled the Top Off tank, took the Algae Scrubber apart and cleaned it, replaced all the filters in the RO/DI machine and did a water change. Fraged one of the polys in the tank and glued that frag to the overflow box.

Did 20% waterchanges on all 4 tanks, pulled out more dead SPS from the 300 nothing new dead in 3 weeks. Moved a green toadstool frag from the 30 to the 5.
Going to wait till tomorrow to test levels 50 gallons thru the skimmer should give pretty good numbers.

The 300 is being taken down this coming weekend we now have a 9 month old Granddaughter living with us DHS says no exposed water so going to rush the swap over to the new 330 along the wall.have had real issues with ALK levels and lost massive amounts of SPS. Going to concentrate on LPS and rock solid levels for a while and see where we go from there.

Gotta love DHS and their infinite "wisdom". We had to deal with them for almost three years working on adopting Matthew. Talk about a rectally-cranially inverted agency.

Built a new light rack yesterday to hold the LED lights. The old one was made, not by me, wrong, the lights had to be placed inside angle steel, instead of on the under side of the angle steel. This caused me to lose light from the LED's to the very front and very back of my tank. I made the new rack out of angle aluminum from Lowe's, it is pretty much finished, I haven't hung it yet as I am waiting for some new cables to come in. I will need to drill 4 more holes in the rack to place the cables, they should be here today. Anyone know if I can paint aluminum? When I was in the Navy years ago we painted aluminum, we had some kind of very thin yellow primer we would use, then come back with what ever color that we wanted.
