taken from our facebook page:
I would like to make a suggestion to all you guys out there thinking about converting to LEDS. I had a budget and didn't want to blow all my money on a 700 dollar lighting system. I was in the store a few weeks ago and purchased the Current Orbit light from Gerwin Henn. This light was inexpensive and had a awesome ramp timer with remote. My corals love this light, I am even seeing great growth in my sps! What I'm getting at is if ur in the store and have considered getting some new lighting for ur reef , take the time ad check these out!! Gerwin can tell you everything about them and if there's something he can't answer feel free to ask me I've spent hours researching these .

Gerwin, what are u thoughts on this light I have a mixed reef tank, acans, torch, hammer and Duncan, with zoas and plays do u think this light puts out enough for growing them just with only 46watts I am not convinced it will work, but I trust Ur opinion because u have never lead me wrong

I think it would take a couple maybe 3 as the width of your tank will require more coverage.

Maybe consider adding the orbitz to what you have? I think that may be a look you like and save a few bucks

I am trying to get away form $100 bulb replacement as well as look and on top of all that the ballast is starting to hum so I am expecting it to go out any day been researching a lot think I will end up building my own led fixture just buying parts here and there till I get it built. Looks like that's really the only option I have as far as economically speaking with a tank this size
