Pictures under only brights and only blues

Post by Sandy » Sun Sep 26, 2010 1:09 am

Boy,, do lights make a difference!!! The first ones are comparing the same corals under only bright lights and then only blues. The pictures at the end are just random, and the very last two pics are my two different RBT anemones doing the same thing at the same time. Just thought it was cool!

Wow, very nice pictures. I love before and after type stuff. What cap is that with the yellow watchman in? Is that part of the purple cap frag you got from me?

Years ago, I had a 15-watt fluorescent black light. Very interesting what you can observe with all other tank and room lighting off (wait until after dark for best effect). I just placed it on the top of the tank towards the front. You need to sit close to the glass, and wait for your eyes to adjust. Many things fluoresce that you wouldn't expect, like spots on crab and snail shells.

Thank you Patrick! Yes that is the purple cap frag I got from you. It has grown like crazy. I love it! That is a yellow clown goby, it likes to sit and lay on all of my corals. Bout to drive my duncans crazy. They don't even open up much with him laying all over the. Oh well! :)
