37 gallon set up

Post by Jamilw1989 » Mon Aug 29, 2011 7:29 am

Hey Gerwin I am think about updating my 10 gallon set up to a 37 gallon set up. I was just wondering about how much would that cost me to get the kit? I have a general idea how much it would cost from petsmart from searching their website. But I would rather not buy it from them if i can avoid it. it will be quit a while before i am ready to buy it because I am saving up a little bit of money each month. But i was still hoping for a general idea. :D

OK its Top Fin® Aquarium Starter Kit - 37 Gallon
Dimensions: 30"W x 12"D x 22"H; 37 Gallon

If you have the starter kit for that; that would be awesome. that way I have everything i need in one box.
here is the stand that I am looking for Ameriwood Durham 37-40 gallon Tank Stand
Dimensions:32 15/16”H x 38”W x 19 5/8”D

---Petsmart just lost my all around respect for anything about twenty minutes ago. I would rather die then have to go back in there. Now I have to look for a new vet. :x

Any of us could have told you to avoid the "box" stores. Best place to go is the BMFLFS in Biloxi!!!

Seriously though, where do you live? I've got a friend who's a vet and he's outstanding. He's here in Gautier.

Wes I live in saucier. I am going in one last time tomorrow. the vet there said that their new policy doesn't take place for two weeks. but i will need a new one after that. there is one down the street from us but they want to charge 200 dollars for just the visit and the rabese shot. ok i totally can't afford that. my dream tank is gonna take me about a year to save for once i have a set price.

BMflfs = Biloxi's Most Famous Local Fish Store

Jamie I have a 29 gallon box kit that is 30x12x20 with stand for 199.99, I also have a 55 gallon with stand and light hoods for 199.99 (but you have to buy filters and heaters separate)
and I do have a 38ish or so tank, I will have to see what kinda of package I can do.

although that 55 is very very tempting and in my savings range. how much would i have to pay for a undergravel filter and a heater.

55 ug filters run form 25-40 dollars, heater 13-30.00
the 29 and 37 are no different other than a few inches taller on the bigger, so breeding in one is no different than the other in my view.

sounds like 29 gallon is a good deal then. I will talk it over with dad and see which he thinks would be better. I know that we have one male angel now. because its fully grown and has never laid eggs and has blood red eyes so we are sure its a male. and our other one we are guessing at still. hoping its a female.

29 gallon is a go. :-) It will take me a while to save the money. how much for gravel to put in it? do you have some type of slate or glass panels i can slide in there when they have paired off that they will lay the eggs on and be fertilized?
