Any advice on aquarium controllers?

Christmas is just around the corner, and my wife keeps bugging me about what I want. I am thinking about asking for an Apex controller for my 150 gal reef tank. Does anyone have advice on what to look for and what to avoid. This is the one time a year that she doesn't complain about spending money on my tank, so I have to make it worth it. Throw in your wishlist ideas also. She's feeling generous this year. I might just rack up with a bunch of cool new toys
