The problem is you can see it fine from Tapatalk, but computer viewers just see the link between [img] tags, not the photo.

The error on your screen cap and the broken [img] links are not related. The error is because an attempt is being made to upload the image file to the fishystuff.net server, which is what we need to avoid. The reason for the broken Tapatalk hosted image link, I think, is that posting and linking to an image from Tapatalk "bypasses" the filesize check, so the post succeeds, but the image breaks. The editing of the [img] tags to [rimg] for Tapatalk hosted images seems to be the best solution available under the circumstances.

Ok, not sure of I fully understand what you posted...but when I select a tapatalk hosted pic the image size options are as shown in the following screenshot. Not sure of that I'd related to what you said entirely, but I think it forces the max resolution to be within the size you suggested. As far as the tag thing, is that something i do?

If you choose Tapatalk hosted for the image, 1024x768 should be OK, you should be seeing the Tapatalk image URL between [img ] tags in the post editing window before you hit Submit. If you change/edit [img ] to [rimg ] and [ /img] to [ /rimg] (ignore spaces added), then press Submit, the image should be displayed inline in the post and viewable by anyone, one way or another, mobile or PC.

In fact, you want to use the 1024x768 for Tapatalk hosted images, b/c that's what you'll see when you click on the small photo in the post from a computer-- the biggest image possible.

Hint: On vBulletin forums, the image gets auto-sized by the forum software without having to edit the tags.

A very good forum software platform, but not free like the phpBB3 this forum currently uses. I use it on another forum I have.
