title says it all!

after 36 years and the power of the WWW. I am making my stand :lol: the avg customer says it wrong and after 3 plus decades they almost had me switching,

But being a fighter by nature
I draw a line in the sand!
and by the pronunciation BETTA I Stand!

This from wikipedia: The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens), also known as the betta (particularly in the US) and simply as the fighter, is a popular species of freshwater aquarium fish. The name of the genus is derived from ikan bettah, taken from a local dialect of Thailand (Siam).[1] Betta is pronounced /ˈbɛtə/.[2] The wild ancestors of this fish are native to the rice paddies of Thailand and Cambodia and are called pla-kad or trey krem ("Fighting Fish") in Thai.

Did you know that bettas like blanched peas? Found that out today feeding my new Albino Bushynose Pleco, you can get one of these pretty plecos for a steal at our favorite LFS. These plecos only get about 6-8 inches for those of us with smaller tanks. Go take a look I haven't figured out how to post pictures yet.
