Hey Rene if no one will I'll take him/her. I have my tank at 1.017 like Gerwin suggested and a little tank to slowly get him from 1.02 or where ever your at with sg to my tank. I have loads of places to hide and the Blue crabs have been modified a little more since yesterday due to a female digging into a hermit crab shell and looking for snacks. It might not sit well with some but their aggressive eating habits don't sit well in my tank w me. Unless there is a special iodine requirement or something. I will look up your fish again on the net for special considerations. I live in Gpt

So I can cruise to you or you to me and we could show off tanks.

EDIT>>>>

Ok I just looked up the fish, I have live sand in my tank (80 lbs) and I also have loads of places to hide. The blue crabs even the babies have trimmed claws (found two small females). I normally feed with frozen blood worms, Brine shrimp or gulf shrimp cut up into smaller pieces and once a day they get crisps, mysis shrimp, blood worms, and tropical flakes of the freeze dried can type and my special mix. Basically everything is dumped into one can and mixed really well. I would put your baby in a smaller tank until I got him used to my environment. Shoot me a PM or give me a ring at 228 257 3939.

Hey :)

Do you have a lot of microfauna in your tank? They only eat live food... and that's where the problem is. I think the stress he is under already plus trying to dial down the salinity might be too much. Ugh!!!

I'm going to go ahead and try the trigger pods again Friday when i get paid. I have set up a mini refugeum, gonna put him right in there with them and see if that helps.

Thanks for the offer anyways... I think your set up is great, just not sure he can take the added stress.

PS... I'd love to do tank show and tell!

I am unsure about micro fauna in the tank but I know I have some real healthy mullets who graze the sand as do the hermit crabs. The articles I read refer to foods like I mentioned in my previous post. I am not a expert on salt tanks nor do I claim to be but I can read and be taught. Good luck with your little fish.

Any time you (or anyone) wants to see my work of horrors in person let me know. I really do like my tank and its not as colorful as most but its full of characters........... lol

Wow thank you for that link!!! I am going to try the finely cut shrimp stuff..maybe he will eat that?

I would rather keep him if I could, I love him to pieces! He is by far the most interesting fish I have. So thank you!!!

Edit - I moved him to the refugeum... it is a small plastic box on the inside with holes in it. It has a little chaeto and some gravel in it. I shaved off some frozen shrimp and put in there with him. Tomorrow I'll get those copepods or the shrimp Gerwin suggested and put them in there too. It's a small space so if he doesnt get clausterphobic it should make it easier for him to get the food.

Ya know, for being so thin he still has a lot of spunk in him lol... like to drowned myself getting him out. No more tall tanks for me!
