Well its about time i post some pix. Most know i traded all my Cichlids in and converted my 100g to Saltwater. I could not be Happier with the results so far. To me its truely Art in Progress.

Nothing but small fish for now. Tried a Powder Tang and he got ICK that ended up killing numerous fish.

My SetUp: AGA 150g 48x30x25, Reef Octopus Skimmer, Bio Pellet, Phosphate, Carbon reactor. Mostly a SPS coral tank with a few zoas a Green Polyp Toadstool, a Chalice or two and a couple of Scollys thrown in there. Top Off System and dosing pump system for Calcium and Alk.

My SetUp: 180gal saltwater reef, 6-80watt T5 lights, 2 powerheads in tank, 2 return pumps in a 40gal sump, uv sterilizer, gfo and carbon reactor.

So I am a new Member and really want to convert my freshwater to salt water but dont know where to start??? So since you did it already could you tell me how plz you have a beautiful tank I only have a 55 gallon tank so I need to know everything how do I make salt water where do I get clean sand when do I strat puttin in Rocks what kind of Rock a relpica of your tank would be great only of course smaller since its 1/2 the size lol Plz help will appreciate greatly any info you can give thanks so much! mscoastline :D

It depends if you want corals or not...It's really not that hard...just more maintainance than a freshwater tank. You will need "Live" rock and sand for the tank...it can be purchased at Gerwin's store on Pass Road near the Veterans Hospital/ Keesler...in Biloxi. If you want corals you will need special lighting and of course you will need salt and a hydrometer to get your salinity started. Gerwin and Roger are full of answers at the store and would be more than happy to direct you on the right path! They have always gone above and beyond to answer my questions... and Archie too :thumbup:...They are the best at helping me when I want to play 20 questions :lol:
