I went off shore fishing yesterday and decided to take a piece of barnacle with some rock anemones on it. Today we were looking at it and surprise surprise. We found a blenny on it.

I believe it's a type of blenny, and have seen them before that folks catch, i have also seen them be a little feisty at times.

Hey all. Just wanted to intro myself and help out as well. Name is Wes and I work for a certain state agency (lol, cryptic, yes). I had a small tank prior to the storm but I've started over with a 55 and I am loving it. I've only had it for about a month and a half. I've got roughly 50#'s LR in it and 6 fish with a few inverts. When everything settles I want to start on corals and have a mixed tank. Anyway, just wanted to say hey and look forward to meeting everyone.
gbrendonk, what you brought home is a Creasted Blenny, Hypleurochilus geminatus. Best of luck with 'em, blennies are awesome little fish.
Wes

Wes will be quite the asset on the forum as he has a wealth of knowledge on the local species here on the gulf,
Thanks for the post
