Correct me if I am wrong, live rock has alge, and little crabs and shrimp living on it? Since I do not trust the gulf currently I know my hermits love to eat alge as does the puffer. Would this type of rock be OK with my native tank? Would it be safe for the hermit crabs and puffer to eat?

Re: What would you like to have on special?
it would be fine for your native tank but it does not have enough algae/crabs and shrimp for your critters to eat on, most of it you do not want eaten, thats what you are paying for.guitarest wrote:Correct me if I am wrong, live rock has alge, and little crabs and shrimp living on it? Re: What would you like to have on special?
I have two spotted puffers, one for almost 6 months and a baby I got last week as a present from my daughter when she stopped by the house. She though it would look cool in the large tank; he is getting along fine with the other puffer and so much smaller. I am at 1.017 with salt content in the tank today. I did some house cleaning in the tank to prepare for the horseshoe crab when he comes in. Moved some stuff around and the tank is still a little foggy due to moving a good bit of sand around. Today I set out and caught almost all the native guppies and molly's so the big tank looks quite empty without all those little top feeders; lol.

Hey Gerwin that siphon was a great purchase, its been almost a week and the horseshoe crab is kicking in the tank still. The water is still kinda fast moving and sometimes he swims upside down....... lol

Re: What would you like to have on special?
swimming upside down is normal for that crab, only time they are usually right side up is when they are crawling
the gravel siphon is the #1 tool for every tank owner best money spent for sure

I will also have a few peacocks for sale or trade here shortly once they grow out. Any multiple males I get will either be traded in at Gerwins or sold if he doesn't have room.
