leaking uv sterilizer

Post by Sandy » Mon Jul 23, 2007 10:30 pm

I have a leak on one end of my aquanetics uv sterilizer. The o-rings and seals are good. It looks like the leak is around the base of the thing you screw the cap on. I tried using aquarium sealant. Didn't work. Any info on what to try now? Thinking about trying epoxy. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

so are you saying its coming from a threaded area or a crack?
a little vasoline on o rings has been a trick to stop small leaks for years, if its coming from a area where a o-ring seal may not be working. And sometimes the o-ring is bad and you just cannot see it , try replacing.
And then call me
