Re: Eric's 225
Cal is 480, alk is 2.49 which is super low. I raised alk to 3ml/2hr and dropped cal to 2ml/hr. Hopefully that will allow me to drop cal and raise alk. Maybe I should drop cal to 1ml/hr?

Eric's 225
I personally have better luck dosing further apart. Mine fluctuated a lot when I tried dosing hourly. I dose every 4 hours. Reef builder(Kh) gets 17ml/4hr and reef advantage(Ca) gets 11/4hr. Also dosing too close together can cause Kh to precipitate so I make sure they are offset at least an hour. I haven't adjusted my dose in 2 months. I always test Kh between 3.2-3.3 and calcium 400-450 range. I use hanna checkers for both tests as well. Google Randy Holmes article on the relationship between Kh and Ca I'd find it for you but hurrying through this. I'm no expert but when I just concentrated in getting Kh in the proper range I was able to slowly get the calcium right. For me raising Kh raised my Ca as well. So in the end I had to lower my Ca substantially to find that balance.
Again buddy. I have no idea what I'm really talking about this is just my experience. Leave it to the experts to add in their scientific mumbo jumbo and make me look silly.... Cheers!
