Cyclops and Oyster Feast

Post by C-21 USAF » Wed Mar 03, 2010 2:49 pm

Bought both of these from MFS and have been feeding my corals for about two months and their doing great. In particular, my flower pot is getting bigger! These are known for being hard to keep, but mine seems to be flourishing.

First I turn off all pumps (even skimmer), then I target feed everything and wait about 10 minutes. Then I turn on my circulations pumps until the tank looks clear again and then I turn on the return pump. After I've done that I'll turn my protein skimmer on even later.

I mix the cyclops and OF together and let them marinate for a while before feeding.

Hope this helps someone!

Just wondering, how often do you feed, and have you been tracking your Nitrate levels?

I quit checking nitrates a while back...they were never enough to hardly register.

Feeding corals is speratic for me, but if I averaged it out I'd say once, and every now and then twice a week.
