This is after adding your filter element (a few days after) and this quick movie was done today.

now that is overcrowding  Do Not Try this at home kids!

This reminds me of my marine biology class in high school we would go to the beach and come back with buckets of fish and so did every other class,
I am glad the filter is helping a tad but I would still release a few of each species that you have multiples of.

Dumped around 20 fish most were the guppies and a few croakers, didn't want to stress the fish with the nets too much. Those damn things are fast (croakers) and smart they hide in behind things I could not get to. Released the fish in a bayou near my house didn't see any oil and it was high tide; hopefully the fish will survive. I also let the bullfrog go due to not having a proper environment for him to live.

I took my old tank (40gal) and removed the old silicone because it leaked some and cleaned it up really well and resealed the tank. Its been 24 hours since I resealed it going to test seals today to see if she leaks. If not after 24 hours I will remove the water and refill and us this as a small fish tank; hopefully I can breed ghost shrimp in this tank.

Here are some shots I took this morning prior to releasing a few fish. One thing for sure the tank is way cleaner and I will try to catch a few more and release in the bayou.

Love the tank! If I set up something like that, things would get out of control again and I would have too many tanks set up. I can say that I have thought about it, especially seeing all of the cool fish everywhere. Even when we have been out in the duck blind, I will find myself watching the fish, thinking,,,,, those would look cool in a tank!!! Oh,,, and that catfish looks like the bait stealer I caught the other day,,,, and,,,yes,,,,, I did let it go!!! :D

That catfish is the coolest thing in the tank; acts like he is a shark with semi-circles and stealing the food from everything in the tank. Nothing is safe if its careless with their food. I drop in a chunk of shrimp tied to a fishing line and suction cup on the side of the tank and its almost like fishing. When they get frozen bloodworms the catfish will steal from the bull minnow even though the bull is as long and twice as thick. The tank looks empty without the 15 fish missing now. I got motivated and cleaned the filters today and watched the crabs fight over the shrimp; its way cool all they can do is point their claws since the top half of the pinchers are/is missing.

I do enjoy this tank, my old one is almost finished with the silicone setting and then another tank will be on line for the smaller fish. This is really relaxing also.
