Too Many Tanks

Post by phisher » Thu Jun 10, 2010 12:54 pm

Hey guys my garage is way too full of tanks and other goodies I really need to try and get rid of. If you want (more) pictures of things let me know, some of the stuff just came down and needs cleaning still so it may be the weekend before I take more photos.

1. 120g (48x24x24) made by Ocean View. Its thick glass (1/2") with black trim and no center brace. There is a corner overflow in the back right side with a hole drilled in the bottom for a 1 1/2" bulkhead. There is also a hole for a 1" bulkhead drilled in the back about 8" from the top. I cleaned it good before storing but its been in my garage for a year, seems feel soft and strong but I can't guarantee anything. Paid around $400 a few years ago, will take $100 if you come pick it up.

2. 30g long sump tank drilled on one end for 1" bulkhead. I cut out the baffles except for the one on the end. Seams are good, been storing live rock in there until a few days ago, $50.

3. Approx 50g (36x18x18) custom acrylic set up.

Tank is drilled in both corners at the top for plumbing, rear panel is black. I also have tight fitting lids. Tank is in good shape, some minor scratches.
Stand is custom built by me. Its wired with several elec outlets and the plumbing runs through the back of the stand so the stand can be push flush against the wall.
Sump is 20g long, back and bottom is painted black the hide return plumbing. I also have a Blueline ext pump (around 500gph) that's very quiet.
Also have a canopy that I started but never finished if you want to take and finish it up.

I have well over $800 in this plus many, many hours of labor, I'll take $300 for it all if you come get it.

4. I have an Octopus skimmer rated for around 100g. Its in very good shape, but I was never happy with the performance, I think the pump is just cheap. The air intake was modified slightly to try a bigger air intake hose but other wise its like new. I'm sure I paid around $150 for this skimmer, I will take $65.

5. I have an ASM G3 skimmer I bought used a few years ago. Everything is very solid and this thing skims like a beast. The main body has some hazing and scratches from cleaning but doesn't effect the performance at all. I planned to use this in my new 75 set up but its just going to take up too much room. I'll take $150.

I can post a photo of it tomorrow after work.

Has a custom stand, but it will need some work if you want to reuse it.

Looking for $100 for the tank, if you want the stand you can have it-it does need some work.

Here are a couple shots of the tank,

Some coralline algae on the overflow box but the glass and seams were thoroughly cleaned. Its sitting backwards on the stand so I can't take a picture of the front of the stand.

Here is a picture I found of it set up. As far as the stand goes whats missing is the doors and the trim that goes along both sides to cover the tank trim. I had to remove them to move the tank and they got thrown away. All it is is 1x3 pine with a cherry stain.
