salt to fresh?
Mr.Gerwin, How do I properly switch the filter (fluval 405) on the old salt tank...the bowfront...to a fresh water plant tank...Am I able to keep the media and sponges or do I need to start over? Also, I know most fw plants cannot handle salt so how do I properly clean it all out? Thanks bunches, Jessi

1st let me say it is wonderful that Jessi finally made it on the site and convinced the admin she was not 13 yrs old 
Simple rinsing with fresh water will be adequate for the tank and fluval, even rinsing the media well will take care of any salt but if it has been more than 4-8 weeks on the media just replace it and the sponges more than 3 months replace them too.
