Actually serious question

Post by guitarest » Fri Jul 16, 2010 6:14 pm

I have found that my tank and its native breeds enjoy a saltwater content of 1.012 - 1.010 so with this knowledge could I ever have a real saltwater fish? Like those cute Gobies or even a clown fish? Also Gerwin shoot me a email I am in a market for a 55gal native tank that will be like the marshes for the Blue crabs. This purchase should be in 30 days and would like a stand and set up like my 100gal.

This is a very expensive hobby even more than guitar playing.... lol

a serious question deserves a serious answer and I am the man for the job :D (you see noone else touched this question..you scared them with serious )

you are basically running a brackish water tank and although I have seen some exotic marine fish surviving in salt that low it was not intentional and probably not good for the long haul. I think if you wanted to add some exotic fish you might consider slowly adjusting the salt up on what you have now and split the difference like 1.016-17 there you could keep any fish.

55 gallon tank starters are still on the below Wally world price of 159.99 no stand but filter heater lights hoods and few little goodies included.

Tried to call ya, hey what would it run with a stand, lights etc.... You can email me if you want; I'm serious about this for the blues they ate another fish (another Tiger Barb so I'm all out). They have had their claws trimmed all the way back so I'm thinking maybe the tiger barb was sick.

I have done research on these guys and they (the native guys can survive in that much salt). Prior to getting the tank I tried to get a small horsecrab; is this something you can get? I have seen some websites with them around 1 to 2 inches in length. Any chances?
